Integrated Engineering has been involved in several LEED® (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) or LEED®equivalent projects. We work in conjunction with the design team to look at methods of achieving accreditation, reviewing such items as façade design, anticipated daylight, reduced energy consumption, renewable energy sources, and reduced water consumption.
By meeting or exceeding the requirements of LEED®, we can help design buildings that are both energy and cost efficient. We have LEED® accredited staff that are familiar with design ideas and documentation procedures.
Lean/IPD
Integrated Engineering makes a point to operate as efficiently as possible. Part of that involves design practices that promote communication, accountability, and quality.
Lean Design
The goal of the lean process is to create a realistic and achievable plan that incorporates the entire team, from the architects to the consultants to the contractors. This discussion starts from day one and continues through the design phases and into construction, creating an organized flow of work. In our office we use techniques like pull planning to maximize productivity and minimize oversights.
Integrated Project Delivery
An important part of any project is the focus that is placed on teamwork. Our office utilizes an open structure to facilitate colleague interaction. We have experience working on large projects where building information modeling (BIM) and collaborative software has played a key roll, allowing for a more streamline project progress that focuses on the final value, a finished building.
